Buying crypto

How to buy crypto on an exchange

This section splits buying into three routes, and each one gets its order of operations, where its baselines live, and the failures that actually happen. No rate numbers and no price forecasts.

Timing and fee baselines

The baseline lives on the official page
Fees, limits and arrival times change, so the only baseline for this attempt is what the platform's page shows today. A guide, a screenshot or a short video is a reference, not a baseline.
Price and fee are quoted separately
The quoted price excludes the fee. Cost both of them from the same screen to compare rails honestly.
Crediting follows the platform's record
A platform purchase credits immediately; a P2P or desk purchase releases when the counterparty confirms, so the timing is not fixed and the record decides.

Step by step

  1. Type the official domain and read the page

A domain is only checked against the platform's own page: one extra hyphen, one missing letter or a different suffix is a lookalike, however good the page looks.

  2. Confirm you are buying spot and not a contract

Spot settles into an asset you own; a leveraged contract can lose everything. On the order screen the two may differ by a single tab, so read the heading first.

  3. Cost the price, the fee and the timing together

The price alone gives the wrong answer. All three are on the order screen, so compare them from that screen rather than from someone's screenshot.

  4. Run the smallest amount first

Complete the whole flow once with the smallest amount that works, confirm it can be credited, sold and withdrawn, and only then decide about a larger one.

Ready when you are

What this site will not do

  • No handling on your behalfNo registration, no identity paperwork, no receiving or sending money for you, and no collection of contact or identity details.
  • No numbers that moveFees, limits and arrival times all change, so the pages say where to check them instead of writing them down.

Common questions

Which way should a first purchase go?

Buying inside a platform is the shortest route for one small test. If the price matters more, look at P2P or a desk - but then you own the counterparty and source-of-funds judgement.

Where should the coins sit afterwards?

On a platform they are easy to trade; in self-custody you hold the seed phrase. Larger amounts argue for self-custody, provided you have already rehearsed the backup.

Can users in mainland China follow the steps on this site?

No. This site provides no acquisition or registration guidance for mainland China, and none for restricted regions such as the United States, the United Kingdom or the European Union. Check the rules that apply where you are.
