Wallet flows

Crypto wallet deposit and withdrawal

A self-custody wallet is yours to hold, and buying or selling usually means connecting to a platform or a swap protocol. This section covers seed phrases, approvals and the small test first.

Timing and fee baselines

The baseline lives on the official page
Fees, limits and arrival times change, so the only baseline for this attempt is what the platform's page shows today. A guide, a screenshot or a short video is a reference, not a baseline.
A wallet promises no arrival time
A self-custody transfer depends on chain confirmations and network congestion, and the wallet vendor carries neither the timing nor the counterparty risk.
A chain transfer cannot be reversed
Once it is broadcast it cannot be recalled, and a wrong address usually cannot be recovered. That is the difference between self-custody and a platform account.

Step by step

  1. Type the official domain and read the page

A domain is only checked against the platform's own page: one extra hyphen, one missing letter or a different suffix is a lookalike, however good the page looks.

  2. Install or buy only through official channels

Take a browser extension from the store link the vendor's own site gives, a phone app from the official store, and a hardware wallet only from the vendor - never second-hand.

  3. Back the seed phrase up offline, not in a screenshot

The seed phrase is the asset. Anyone asking for a seed phrase, a private key or a code, for any reason, is stealing.

  4. Run the smallest amount first

Complete the whole flow once with the smallest amount that works, confirm it can be credited, sold and withdrawn, and only then decide about a larger one.

Common questions

How is a self-custody wallet different from an account?

An account is custodied: the platform holds the key and can help you back in. A self-custody wallet is yours alone, and a lost seed phrase cannot be recovered by anyone.

Can I sell straight from the wallet?

Usually you connect it to a platform or a swap protocol first. Read what permission the connection asks for before approving it.

Can users in mainland China follow the steps on this site?

No. This site provides no acquisition or registration guidance for mainland China, and none for restricted regions such as the United States, the United Kingdom or the European Union. Check the rules that apply where you are.
