Check the coin and the network, not just the ticker

One ticker can have a deposit address on several networks. Matching symbols with mismatched networks usually means the funds are gone.

Short answer

For any deposit, first match the coin name and the network name on the deposit page against what your sending side has selected.

Check the coin and the network, not just the ticker: a document

Key points

  • Read the full coin name, not the ticker

The page may say USDT or USDC, BTC or BCH; compare letter by letter, since near-identical tickers often sit on the same screen.

  • Copy the network name exactly

Networks appear as TRC20, ERC20, BEP20 and so on. Compare that string with the network selected in your wallet or sending platform, character by character.

  • Check both ends of the address

After pasting, compare the first few and last few characters with what the page shows. Paste the middle, never retype it.

  • Look for a memo or tag field

Some coins and networks require a memo or tag. If the page shows one, fill it; if there is none, leave it empty.

Common questions

Why does one USDT deposit have several addresses?

Each network keeps its own ledger, so the same coin has a separate address on each one. The page lists them per network, and picking the wrong one sends funds to a different chain.

The network name on my sending side is written differently. Can I still send?

Go by what the page shows on the day. If the two names do not match exactly, stop and recheck which network your sending side actually uses.
